PAPER
Archers smooth watercolour paper in 300gsm
Arches is considered one of the finest water colour papers. Made from 100% cotton fibre, giving strength and stability. It is tough enough to endure scrubbing, scratching and erasing, and still accepts colours evenly, with just the right amount of absorbency.
Although it is primary made of watercolour it sits beautifully with graphite and ink drawings as well. This is museum grade paper and what I use on all my original artworks.
This brand of paper also has textured paper options aswell!
Where to buy: www.seniorart.com.au or www.theartshop.com.au/arches-watercolour-sheets
You can generally find these papers also in Melbourne Art Supplies, Eckersleys or Deans Art.

Zig Millennium in Black in size 005, 01, 03

Both of these fineliners use archival pigment ink, have the same sizes and are around the same price depending on where you shop. They are waterproof, fade proof and make fine lines. I generally switch between these pens depending on whats in stock at my local art shop. Pigma Micron is considered the more popular brand.
Where to buy: Melbourne Arts Supplies stocks both brands of fineliners.
GRAPHITE
Staedtler Mars Lumograph or Faber Castell
I generally stick to the regular HB size. My pencil markings don’t need to be the best quality as it is for rough sketching of tracing and eventually gets erased after ink outlining. They are also available in different sizes.
Where to buy: You can generally find Faber Castell at your local Kmart or BigW. Staedtler pencils are are Melbourne Art Supplies or Office works.

SCRAP PAPER
Photo copy paper
Great to have around to test ink and pencils. Also to cover hand when drawing so you don’t get oils from your hand on the drawing.
