Welcome to the mushroom themed ink drawing workshop with Jessica Jane.

In this class you will learn the process to creating an ink based drawing from start to finish. We will cover research, drafts, outlines, rendering techniques and finishing. You can follow Jessica’s process to creating a whimsical style or develop your own look.

With the option to add a fairy to your piece we will be drawing the iconic red capped spotted mushrooms known as Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria). In a fairy-tale-like scene you may recall a mushroom circle, or fairy ring; often sighted with these classic spotted fungi. We will take inspiration from this type of mushroom but will work with ideal shapes to make our own version of a mushroom that appears in a fantasy world where fairies flutter.

Feedback Revisions 

How does it work?

You will receive 4 revisions through the workshop provided either in a video format or written with reference pictures.

The feedback revisions are structured to come at these stages

1. Moodboard & Drafts

2. Outlines

3. Rendering

4. Finishing

If you are feeling confident with one section and would like to save your feedback revisions so you have multiple in the rendering stage you can do this instead.

Whenever you are ready to receive feedback take a photo of your progress and email it to jessicajaneillustration@gmail.com . 

Please note Jessica will do her best to review and provide feedback in a timely manner. Feedback is currently estimated to be received within 3 days to a week. If your feedback is taking longer please email and check in or DM on instagram @jessicajane.illustration . Most of the time this will be achievable but on the rare occasion that Jessica is vending at an interstate event or on holiday this may take longer.
