Jessica Jane is an exhibiting artist, illustrator and designer from Melbourne, Australia. Jessica completed a bachelor of Illustration at Melbourne Polytechnic in 2016 and has since been exhibiting regularly in group shows around Melbourne in 2017. In-between gallery shows Jessica gets involved with the creative community by selling her illustration products at festivals and design fairs, taking personal and business commissions, working as a gallery assistant and studying concept art and 3D modelling with CG Spectrum.
Jessica creates detailed illustrative artworks along with digital character illustrations and sculptures. Her work can be described as feminine, organic and detailed, with interests in nature, animals, whimsical figures and costume.
Her personal illustrations, seen in gallery’s across Melbourne, Australia are inspired by nature and traveling, often visualising flora and fauna she has referenced with self captured photography when traveling and exploring. Another strong influence is costume, film and children’s books. Jessica originally was drawn to creating female characters with a strong sense of costume design. She now likes to combine these two passions to create more illustrative pieces.
