Terms and conditions

For Commissioned Artworks 


The following terms and conditions apply to all sales of commissioned artworks supplied by Jessica Jane, PO Box 1328 Werribee Plaza, Hoppers Crossing, VIC 3029 otherwise referred to as the Illustrator in the remainder of this document.

By accepting designs and/or services from the Illustrator you agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined in this document.

This standard terms and conditions applies to and is not limited to quotations for all new works, the purchase and use of any existing works. The term works (referring to artwork) include the design, printing, copywriting, visual media, illustrations, images and sketches either produced or supplied by the illustrator.



A full payment must be made when purchasing a commissioned artwork (including shipping/shipping upgrades).                                                                                                                   Once Payment has been processed the illustrator will begin the commission.


Changes/revisions are not included in commissions where the illustrator will be working from a provided photo reference (pet portrait/portrait commissions). Slight adjustments can be made if the illustrator has specifically missed a detail from the provided photo. The illustrator will send a photo of artwork for checking before posting.

For illustration commissions one draft is provided and further drafts will be charged at $50 per draft/revision.

Any and all publishing and reproduction rights are reserved solely by the artist. This image is not to be re-distributed, copied, imitated, or misappropriated in any way. Reproduction cannot be made without consent from the illustrator. Moral Rights and the Original Artwork remain the property of the artist unless otherwise stated. The Illustrator is entitled to use all artwork and/or Illustrations in their portfolio and for self-promotion purposes as required. Where appropriate, the Illustrator must be credited at all times.



Commissions are designed for personal use only. If you require a commissioned artwork for other purposes such as reproduction of artwork you must first gain approval from the illustrator. Additional costs will apply for reproduction or other use of artwork if approved by illustrator. Where appropriate, the Illustrator must be credited at all times.


The Illustrator agrees to complete commissions within the following time frames:
A6 portraits - 1 week, A5 Portraits - 1 to 2 weeks, A4 portraits - 2 weeks, A3 portraits - 2 to 3 weeks, A2 portraits - 3 to 4 weeks. If you have a tight deadline illustrator may agree to have commissions of A6 to A4 complete within 3 - 7 days if able. These time frames do not include shipping times.
The illustrator can not be responsible for a missed deadline if the Client has been slow to supply materials or not provided feedback to agreed timescales.

Additional postage costs apply when purchasing artwork. It is the clients responsibility to select cover for loss/damage and/or express shipping and/or tracking as provided when purchasing artwork. 


The illustrator can not accept refunds or returns on commissioned original artworks. The Illustrator guarantees that artwork will be packaged in protective, waterproof packaging and addressed correctly to the address provided by the client. If artwork has been lost in transit or arrived damaged from postage the illustrator can not be held liable. It is the clients responsibility to select shipping upgrades such as cover for loss or damage to prevent disappointment.
